Melbourne Wealth was honoured to be invited to participate in the prestigious Training Course on Building Community-Driven Farm Schools (CDFS) organized by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). This program, hosted in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from June 10 to 14, 2024, brought together 30 participants from 17 Asian countries, including representatives from Melbourne Wealth Group, Malaysia.
The CDFS program, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, aimed to introduce and promote community-driven farm schools, an initiative that strengthens community bonds, enhances local agricultural productivity and provides farmers with crucial knowledge and skills. The key focus was on sustainable practices, smart agriculture, and agri-entrepreneurship, ensuring participants could apply these concepts to develop and manage farm schools within their communities.
Saidee Afkar, the Executive Director of Melbourne Wealth Group, actively engaged in the discussions and shared experiences, contributing to the collaborative spirit of the program. His involvement underscores Melbourne Wealth’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development and international collaboration.
In a letter of appreciation, Dr. Siti Munifah, Executive Secretary of the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Extension and Human Resource Development, expressed her gratitude for Melbourne Wealth’s participation, highlighting the value of the insights and connections made during the program.
