Johor Bahru, 2 December 2024 – Melbourne Wealth was honored to be invited by the Consulate General of Indonesia in Johor Bahru to participate in the inaugural Johor-Indonesia Business Dialogue. The event, organized by the Johor-Indonesia Business Chamber (JIBC), took place at the Consulate’s premises and marked a significant milestone in fostering cross-border economic collaborations.
Graced by His Excellency Indonesian Consul-General Bapak Sigit Suryantoro Widiyanto, the dialogue brought together key business leaders from Johor Bahru and beyond. In his keynote address, Bapak Sigit highlighted Indonesia’s policies under its newly inaugurated President, Bapak Prabowo Subianto, focusing on fostering economic growth and investment opportunities.
The session featured an interactive panel discussion with notable speakers, including:

- Ibu Aziza Rahmaniar Salam, Trade Attaché
- Pak Andria Buchara, Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre, Singapore
Moderated by the Deputy President of JIBC, Mr. Rumi Amjed, the dialogue provided a platform for attendees to explore investment opportunities in Indonesia, gain insights into potential challenges, and discuss strategic solutions.
As a participant, Melbourne Wealth found the dialogue to be an excellent opportunity to deepen understanding of Indonesia’s investment landscape and to establish meaningful connections with stakeholders.
The success of this event paves the way for the upcoming Johor-Indonesia Economic Forum, scheduled to be held in Johor Bahru in early 2025. Melbourne Wealth eagerly anticipates further opportunities to collaborate and contribute to the strengthening of Johor-Indonesia economic ties.
